Hardware Firewall Reviews

I'm supposed to be doing research on hardware firewalls. If anyone happens to know a good site or two with a bunch of reviews I would really appreciate it. Also, any comments personal dislikes/likes with different models would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the info.

spidey07- do you happen to know anything about the Sonicwall SOHO2? My boss is looking to spend around $400-600 dollars so the $1000 plus firewalls are pretty much out of the question.

Or if anyone knows of any other good $400-$600 firewalls let me know. Each client that we would set them up for has at most ten machines on the networks and one or two servers.

Linux or OpenBSD on an old p100 would be fine 😉

Also, with firewall reviews, I wouldnt trust their security reviewing, just barely trust their throughput ratings. Just my opinion.

ZyXEL makes the best for under $500. Best part is, the ZyWALL 10 I am speaking of can be found for no more than $250. It has real stateful inspection.
Read about it here!!!!

Great company with solid firmware and great support.

I'll second the PIX 501 - Can't get better than a PIX!

Watchguard SOHO is also pretty good, and a cut above the typical SOHO routers in security. Only 10BaseT, however, so it depends on what your Internet connection is if it would be apprpproate or not.
