Do you know of any good diagnostic software? I am mainly looking system board and Video.

I have A giga-byte 845pe 677 ultra motherboard and ATI 9700 pro video card.

I just lost 2 hard drives and wanted to see if anything else was burnt. I think it was hit by a power surge
 
First you should check your powersupply and make sure that everything is fine. YOu should b able to find hardware tools for this on newegg or similar computer shops. As for software ... try: sisoft sandra ... mm .. for hard drives HDDHealth ... and dunno, I think that those shoudl suffice.
 
Im trying to see if my video card is toast. When playing games its really dark. I have to turn brightness way up. Is there any diagnostic for video cards?
