While running 3d games such as nhl or nba live 2000 from EA sports>...(3 ea sports games i have) the computer would crash...after some random amount of time...sometimes...after 30 minutes...sometimes after 5 minutes

are there any hardware conflicts with my stuff?
are there any software conflicts i should know of?
my direct X is upgraded...tried running directX 7 but it said i had the newest version and install did not continue...

any ideas?

Try installing the latest drivers for all of your hardware (sound card, vid card, etc). Also check in your Device Manager to see if any IRQs are being shared and tell us if there are.

side winder & side winder freestyle pro are the two game pads i'm using...one is connected to my sblive card...the other to my usb port...

i downloaded the via 4 in 1 driver last week...i think it's the newest one...

question: if i just install via 4 in 1 4.25 ... does this mean that i get everything previously fixed? like what 4.24 does? ...
or do i have to install 4.24 first and than install 4.25?

any ideas?
