Greetings,

I have a ASUS P2b board with an upgraded bios of ver 1014 beta originally 1011 beta.
350Mhz processor. Win 2K SP4
I just recently upgraded to a WD 160gb IDE hardrive and am since limited to 127gb.

I spoke with a tech at ASUS about the BIOS that it should work with a larger drive but I would like to get a second opinion?

I have just installed a 160gb IDE to a MSI K8N Neo4 running Win 2K SP4 with no problem so I know what I am doing, but I don't know if the bios on this P2b is 48bit compatable?

I have checked in admin tools and reads 127gb, I have installed the registy key for larger drives.

Thanks
Jonathon

SP4 is the latest Windows 2000 service pack.

Since the OP has SP4 installed, I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is a motherboard issue.
