A look at 3x2 gaming with an 5870 2GB.

Impressive resolution at 5760x2160...but 3x2 gaming seems to suck. Also, some of the settings have to be lowered quite a bit to reach playable frame rates at that high of a resolution it seem.

You need an odd number of monitors. Otherwise the center of your view is going to be bezels. Might be good for a RTS, but the one he tried didn't work.

I wonder if you could make the bottom center monitor your main view? It would give you mostly sky, but at least your center of aim wouldn't be messed up.

I have a hard time believing 6 monitors running at 5760x2160 is cheaper or better performing than one large monitor running at 1920 x 1080. 'Course I do admire 'wretched excess' but, just don't like paying for it.

At barely over 2 mins I feel like one more "obviously" and I will punch my monitor...

Yeah, I don't understand this either. Also, his wall of monitors is flat, ideally you'd want the sides curved towards you to get the surround effect, otherwise you could just use one big monitor and manually alter the field of view.
