Hardforums = Breeding ground for bad traders and troll?

Anyone have an opinion on this? I am focusing on the For Sale / Trade Forums here.

Just wondering. would be interested to hear experiences with this.

Heh, I tried to sell on once - too unprofessional. Didn't seem to be very well moderated.Nobody was interested in my aged stuff, either (AT wasn't too interested, but I got rid of a few things)

I've traded over there and here for quite a while now.... No problems. It's all based on your own trading practices. Some people are stupid enough to fall for the obvious baits. If you look into who you are dealing with and can verify their references, you shouldn't have a problem trading anywhere.

IMO, the administration could be much, much more helpful in promoting safe trading over there. There was a reason heatware.com dropped 'hardforums' from the list of supported forums, and I think the trollhunters have basically said they get no help from the admins. That just doesn't inspire any sense of confidence, even if you do follow the proper trading practices.

Hardforum Is being well maintained now, added couple of new MODs. 🙂

And as TwiceOver Said, its the stupid people who falls for the obvious trolls.

Actually, IIRC, Kyle banned all of the trollhunters because they were "doing business" in the forums, which was against the policy. I believe heatware dropped them for the same reason. Then someone tried to open their own reference site which I believe was TechMonkeys (Not really sure if that was them), and everyone just started to use "other" as the place they traded.

It would be nice if Everyone could get a long, but Kyle seems to hold grudges for long periods of time, even though he is only right maybe 1 in every 5 arguments.

I remember one time I was banned for no reason what so ever, my sig was just changed to "Banned - FRG" which I took as "FragMaster" Kyle's handle on the HardForums. I emailed him asking why, he said he would look into it. We swapped about 10 emails and he never came up with a reason and never reinstated my acct.
😕

bingo

I notice over there that they thread crap like there is no tomorrow. If your price is too high they aren't afraid (no rule) to say it. They'll tell you where you can get it cheaper etc. I love Anandtech Forums just because the rules are so strict and so easy to follow. I never have a problem with the rules. <3 Anandtech Forums.

Kyles a chubby little punk who needs a good ass kicking! Actually I think he is a little queer for "Tom's Hardware"
