I saw an article not long ago that said games are getting easier and I will agree. Games usually aren't a challenge anymore. Of course you have games with selecting difficulty, but I think all games should be put on HARD and teach the new generation of gamers that not everything in life is easy or a cheat code away.

Ninja Gaidens were freakin' hardcore. I played them so much though... I beat Bionic Commando, it wasnt that hard.

yeah...games today are getting easier. I think they need to make the next metal gear game wicked hard. Not that the original metal gear was extremely difficult, but games in general are funner when it takes more to beat them. It seems that nowadays we just through a few more baddies in a level and call it hard.

I KNOW!!! I always got to the city level and couldn't beat it. I beat it once and got to the airport(?). Swimming through the dam and diffusing the bombs took a looong time to beat

the NES Metal Gear was quite hard, but I still beat it... I played too many games as a kid.

Lol I remember one day a long time ago in the summer I was a bored in a very dangerous way so I decided to go to the store and get a long game for my PS one, got top gun and finished it up in one day, and when I say one day I mean a full day of gaming non stop, I became seriously ill after I was done that I had to sleep it through the weekend to recover

Metal gear solid snake for PS took me a good chunk of time to get through , I think it was something like 3 months or so , BTW metal gear is one of the best designed games that I have ever played alot of serious thinking went into that game.

MOHAA on hardest difficulty. I made it through it but had to use god mode for final exit. That was complete bs. You have a building blowing up behind you, a machine gunner to the left around the corner, 3 foot soldiers coming down the hallway at you. Then if you somehow get past that, you have a bunch of snipers on the towers. There were several places in the game where my computer equipment was in danger, but that last level sent me totally ballistic.

That game was awsome...and I beat it it was fun I really like the level where the enemy was parachuting down and you had to clime a tower, or something like that. it was an extremely long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

Another good one was Raiders of the Lost Ark for Atari. I read an article about old games & the guy writing it said he only knew a couple people who ever beat that game. I remember playing that games for weeks at night with my dad, I must've been about 6-9 years old. We eventually beat it though & it was so fun trying to beat it because my dad was good at figuring the stuff out & I was good at using the joystick. Lots of fun.

i remember playing sentinel worlds on my old tandy computer. that game was awesome but hard too.

I was waiting for this. Game released 4 weeks after it was pitched, or some crazy-ass timeline. I remember hitting the red button and wondering what the hell else was supposed to happen besides having ET's neck go up and down...

Bionic Commando was brutally hard to me, but kept me trying through fun gameplay more than any other game I never beat.
