This game is not that hard guys. It doesn't take skill until the end. >.>

And btw, the end is nearly impossible.

so there's 3 different paths that i see you can take. one way takes you to a mario type place, the other takes you to Guile (who killed me), and another takes you to pedobear.
i'm so close to beating my clone 🙁

BTW it's obvious but in case people didn't get it this is a take on the good old Mega Man games.

Maybe I didn't get far enough into it, but other than this being a 2D platformer plus the fact the main character can shoot, this has nothing in common with Mega Man 😀

When the character dies it turns into a ring of circles. Many of the sounds in the game are ripped right from the original game including the firing sound, the sound the character makes when you press the "s" key, the death 'wav' and others. The door right before the pedo bear boss is also right from Mega Man. There are also other similarities.

Doh, didn't have sound on so I missed that - now I look stupid. I just played again with sound on and now it's blindingly obvious.

But trying over and over and over and over and over and over and over just to memorize a routine just to have to start all over once you get it right is just... fucking retarded. It's not a GAME. It's not FUN. It's like fucking homework or something.

This person should never EVER make video games again. Ever.

You're right...this could not possibly be the gameplay mechanism for one of the most successful video game series of all time.

The real problem is that somehow having to feed the machine quarters makes it seem less tedious...knowing that winning is purely a matter of persistence without wondering if you can even afford to win removes the luster.

Of course amazing Don Bluth animation also helps...

It's not about "magic timing", it's about thinking differently (in that specific scenario). It's a shame you aren't bright enough to think there's another way out than through the spikes that you already can tell are impossible to pass.

Actually they appear quite possible to pass. I've gotten to within a few pixels, just haven't done so when the platform is in the perfect spot. And I did consider attempting to jump back under the spikes, decided it wasn't worth the time.
