I want one of these without the bacon. You gotta draw the line somewhere. Maybe they can give me some extra cheese instead?

hearts and arteries across america quiver in fear. Seriously though food this bad for you should be regulated and taxed accordingly like alcohol and tobacco.
Yes, please let us live in a nanny state that regulates what I can eat.

no kidding.

Ugh...my wife and I had to stop at a Hardee's the other day for lunch, and it was revolting. Nearly everything they have is "Monster sized" already. I think we were the only people there who weren't overweight...at least before we started eating. Fast food disgusts me, and it seems that Hardee's is blatently pushing glutony for food.

On the news last night they said some states (I didn't catch which ones) are going to ban fast food advertisements during prime time television.

Sure it's censorship, but it's for your own good!

I wonder if they can deep-fry it if you ask. And give me a side of butter... REAL butter. To go.
Homer: See Marge?! I told you they could deep-fry my shirt!
Marge: I didn't say, "they couldn't," I said, "you shouldn't!"

Yeah, that's priceless.

I would say it's probably good to intervene when people are too stupid to know what's good for themselves. But it's probably better if we let these morons, like the fat slob linked above, gorge themselves and die, thus improving the quality of the gene pool.

To add another Homer quote, "In this house we butter our bacon boy"

Edit: Grammar and clarity

I totally agree with that. No way I could eat this entire burger... I'd be lucky to finish it if it was only 1/3lb.

Sounds tasty, though. 🙂

Oooo, I'm afraid I have to go ahead and, uh, disagree with ya there.
Anything smaller than 1/4 lb is too small to bother with.

True, at least if I am the one making them. The smallest burgers I make are 1/4 of a pound. A former co-worker of mine still comments on them (due to the recipe I use) whenever we happen to run into each other, despite the fact that the barbecue where he got to try them was eight or nine years ago.

We salute you Hardees (aka Carl's JR.). In a day and age where fast food joints are offering fruit instead of fries and milk instead of soda, we salute you for allowing us 750 calories worth of friend potatoes with your monster size and 350 calories of soda in the largest cup known to man. In a time where people order a burger with no bun b/c it's "low carb", we salute you for bucking this "low carb" trend and offering a 1400 calorie monster burger, complete with bacon, cheese, and a full sized seasame seed bun!

Let's agree to disagree.

IMHO 1/4 is the perfect size.

MSN Article:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6498304

In an interview on CNBC, Hardee's chief executive Andrew Puzder was unapologetic, saying the company's latest sandwich is "not a burger for tree-huggers."

"This is a burger for young hungry guys who want a really big, delicious, juicy, decadent burger," he said. "I hope our competitors keep promoting those healthy products, and we will keep promoting our big, juicy delicious burgers."

I am tempted to try one when I am in Las Vegas in December. We have no Hardee's in Alaska that I know of, last time I went to one was a decade or two ago when I was down in the states. Of course, there are so many other places to dine in Vegas, I will probably forget all about the run of the mill fast food while I am there. 😛
