But that's like AMD saying "don't take the cpu above 72 C"...
No one I know feels happy with a cpu hovering at 72 C...

I suppose the "aim" of my question was to get a better
feel for it. If it's my cpu I can usually say something
like. "it's still below 60 C - this an ok temp for high load etc".
Still don't know what's *ok* for an hd but it seems that
some people keep them around 28-36 C. Which of
course should be just fine.
