harddrive problem

at bootup it recognises the harddisk but stops at:
ultra-dma-5, smart capable, status ok

at this point it does not move forward. it's an 80gb seagate 7200rpm ide drive.

i am also not allowed to go into setup at bootup.

i am currently using anothe hdd, so nothing is wrong with the bios.

Download a diagnostic software from the hdd maker and conduct test. It'd probably a boot sector or mbr problem.
