Today I just purchased a Western Digital 80 GB 8MB Cache harddrive. I am using this as my secondary harddrive in NTSF format under drive letter F: There is only one large partition on it.

My problem is that some of the harddrive space seems to dissapear. For example, if I put a 200 meg file on it, and then delete it, I only get back about 140 megs of free space. Is there any solution this?

My Comp:

AMD Athlon 1.3 Gig 266Bus
Epox 8k7a
256 megs of PC2100 ram
Geforce 2 GTS
Pioneer DVD Drive
Mustek CD burner
13 Gig harddrive
80 Gig Western Digital Harddrive
Soundblaster Audigy

Do you by any chance have a Norton Protected Recycle Bin? If so, have you tried clearing the protected files in it (right click the recycle bin option is there). Hope that's your problem, if not good luck :)
