I want peoples opinions.
There are two harddrives I am looking at.
First a 250GB Maxtor 8M Cache 1 year warrenty -> After tax, shipping it comes to .57 per gig
Second a 200GB Seagate 8Meg Cache 5 year warrenty -> After tax and shipping comes to .60 per gig
No rebates or anything on anything, this is just plain ol' tax and shipping.
I've personally never had any HDs die on me, but I suppose there is a first time for everything.
So I'm trying to decide if the 5 year warrenty is worth 50 less gigs and roughly 10 extra dollars (price compared)
If I could get your opinions, I'd appreciate it.
There is a poll, and perhaps if you could post your reasoning, I'd appreciate it.
I'm getting a more space vs longer warrenty confliction
