Hello, I just bought a harddrive today. After installing, I went into the BIOS and checked to see if the capacity was correct. I have a 40Gb Quantum Fireball drive, but my computer only registered 8Gg. What do I need to do in order to get the computer to recognize the full 40Gb?

update BIOS, if that don't fix you have 2 options:
- Add-in IDE card as your BIOS is too old to support LBA mode
- Drive overlay software from the HD vendor (which is Very tempermental) not reccomended.
