Harddrive not being detected in BIOS

I'm trying to re-install Windows on to a new harddrive for a friend.

The new Seagate 500 GB storage 32 MB cache is a Sata hard drive, the motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 (AM2 socket, nForce 570 chipset).

The hard drive is seen in the current copy of windows, there's currently data on there I was going to wipe over, but I doesn't shopw in BIOS so the Windows Disk can't see it to install on
