Harddisk not detecting

hi all
i just installed linux with bootable cd ,the installation is sucessful and after reboot the sys is searching for cd rom as first boot device, so i went bios to configure hard disk as first boot device , when i setup autmatically detect harddisk only cd rom is getting detecting, hard disk is not detecting,

its a dell server, it has scsi hardisk, wat might be the problem , how to overcome it,

Is there an option to boot from the PERC(if it has one) opposed to something off the IDE channels? If anything just change the boot options back, as the CD option will timeout and it should boot from the SCSI/PERC.
