Hardcore band Cro-Mags bassist stabs two people

According to the link it was Harley (the singer) that did the stabbing, and the bassist was one of the ones stabbed.

And yeah, I still listen to their Best Wishes release fairly regularly.

Harley is the original bassist. He stabbed the current bassist and another guy. The lead singer is JJ who is another sick fuck. I remember a long time ago a friend of mine got into it with him because JJ thought my friend tried to steal his jacket. It was like a 180lb big muscle tattoo dude vs a skinny 110lb kid from the suburbs.

I think Harley sings for another version of the Cro-Mags, it's all screwed up because the two main dudes split the band and have their own versions of it and diss one another. I remember seeing Harley's version of the Cro-Mags in the mid 90's and it was terrible. He was drunk off his ass and just starting doing terrible Led Zeppelin covers. Halfway through the show he spit out his dentures (I guess someone knocked his teeth in once). Really sad seeing a legend fall so low. Guess it wasn't the bottom.

I know a lot of people never heard of the Cro-Mags but they were a big part of my youth. Needless to say I was pretty shocked to see the news last night on TV and see a stabbing at Sick of it All and Cro-Mags show even more so when I heard it was Harley.

I used to go to CBGBs a lot when I was a kid and it was never violent. In the mid-90's a lot of the DMS thugs took over and it started getting stupid which is when I left that scene.

Ah, ok. Harley was fronting the Cro-Mags I remember. Sounds seriously soap operaish, and that doesn't belong in hardcore!

Would love for Sick of It All to come here - saw them a lifetime ago with DRI.
