hard drives $ per GB

I got a 160 gb Seagate for $59.99 w/ instant + mir, 37 cents per gig, anything around 50 cents is good.

I would agree with that. If you search around occasionally you will see an amazing deal but on the average those prices seem like good bargains.
 
Typically $.50-.55/GB is about the best you'll find unless you like playing Rebate Roulette. It's been that way for the last couple of years.
