my hard drive is ata100, motherboard is asus a7v133, I plug the blue end into the motherboard, and then do I plug the middle plug or the other end plug into my hard drive? Thanks
 
You can use either plug on your IDE cable, I normally plug the far end into HD and the other into my primary slave (CDROM in my case). Do whichever is the most convenient depending on the location of each.
