hard drive temperature

I touched the side of it and could not hold my finger for more than 10 seconds. Is that too hot or normal?

was it active? my samsung gets to about body temp at load(39* or so) but i habve it oddly vertically mounted so it gets a LOT of airflow from the front.

if it was loaded for a long time, it should be normal. if it was idle or only some load, you might need to improve airflow.

You're prolly @ Borderline Temps (bout 52C max)...You can download HD Inspector for Temps as it's around 3C's less then actual Temps
