How can I copy all of the data off one hard drive and onto another (including OS and programs- such that they will still work.)

current drive is an old WD 10GB
new drive is a p-ata seagate 400gb

Ah.

If you didn't receive any software with the new drive, Seagate should have drive-cloning software available at their website.

You did make sure that your board supports ATA133 and won't need any fancy hackery done to support the full 400GB, right? 😉
