Hard drive problem (((solved)))

Title says it all,

just installed 200GB Western Digital (ATA) as Slave

BIOS and the Windows recognizes it and already installed.

but i can't see the icon on "My Computer"

what did I do wrong?

Go to the run prompt in the start menu and type Diskmgmt.MSC and press enter. Using the Disk Manager you should be able to specify partitions by right clicking on the drive.

Also check your Jumper Settings and make sure on is not set to CS (cable select) while the other is set to Master or slave. If it is the only drive on the system or chanel Check to see that you have the proper configuration for Master.

Also what kind of motherboard and Drive is this? And what version of windows are you using? if it is XP make sure it has SP1 or 2k SP4. Windows 98 or ME may not reconize a drive that large so the 30gb limit may need to be set using jumpers.
