Hard drive position?

Will it hurt my hard drives to install them sideways? If I do this I'll be able to fit two more in my system. I heard not to put them in upside down, is that true?
 
Hard Drives can be in any vertical or horizontal position.

So long as its flat, it doesnt matter if its upside down, on its side or whatever.

Holding it at an angle puts wear on the bearings in the drive, and through time will wreck the drive for sure! 🙁

It won't hurt the performance or life span of them will it?
