Thanks in advance for taking your time to read this. I just bought a Seagate 160GB 3.5 inch hard drive. I tried to partition the drive, but there seems to be some sort of limitation. For some reason, i'm not allowed to create a partition larger than 33GB. Can anyone please help?

Is this an IDE drive? Not a SATA?
I have a feeling you placed your drive jumper symmetrically backwards on the pins.
Try moving the jumper setting to its mirror-opposite position.

Edit: Should that NOT be the case, then please take a look through the link in my signature for hard drive resources. Specifically:

[*]Partition Size Limitation at 32GB, 128Gb

It's possible, though unlikely, that it's a bios limitation. How old is your computer? A bios update might be in order.
