hard drive not turning on

I built a new pc for my friend, and it was working (the hard drive along with everything else). He wanted to put a floppy drive in so i did which is in the same bay. I dont even remember touching the hard drive... but i turned it on and the hard drive wont spin now. I put it in MY pc on mypower, and it still wont spin. So what happend to it? ANy suggestions? Thanks!

Try another hdd in your friend's pc just to see if it will work. If it works, your friend's hdd is dead. Either to static electricity or just co-incidently died at the same time you put in the floppy.

What kind of drive was it? Is it still under warranty? If so RMA it. But do what jiggz said first

it could be dead, i was going to say maybe loose cables or bad wiring, but you stated it put it in your own pc and nothing.
