hard drive issues

Ok here is the issue. I took out one of my ide backup drives and installed an additional sata drive for backup. The computer currently has

1x 80gb boot
2x250 backup

it will boot to the verifying screen and then say os error?

This is a little confusing and i really dont want to reinstall windows again but will if that is the only way. Thanks in advance for any help.

It says error loading os not os error after verifying DMi Pool Data

I went to install xp and it has my ide 80 gig as my d: drive and my 250gig sata drive as my c:? Is this what is causing the problem and how do I change that around?
 
ok i took out all sata connectors and then boot up no problem then restart install sata and now i am good. weird issue but solved now i hope
