Hard Drive Issue

Seems my old post just got deleted. I posted about trying to retrieve old files from an old hard drive. I actually brought the drive home and slaved it to my computer right now which is running XP Pro. The hard drive shows up in the post screen when I boot up but I don't seem to see it in my disk management or in my computer. The older drive was a master drive with win 2k installed on it. Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Both hds on the same ide channel?

Change the jumpers on either drive?

On my home computer I just have one hard drive. I connected the old hard drive to the same ide cable and set it as a slave. It recognizes it in bios but doesn't show up in windows. XP should be able to see it correct?

try going to device manager and check for system changes see if it picks it up then.
