Hard Drive Imaging

I am looking for a linux os that boots off a cd or even a floppy that will create an image of a hard drive.
I have norton ghost somewhere, but I'm looking for something similar through linux (or even a nice freeware program that does the same -- bootable, not through an OS).

If you know of one, I'd like to hear of your experiences with it, and whether it is a good imaging program or not.

I don't think G4U is what I am looking for.

I found one that works in windows that is freeware, but I would still prefer a bootable floppy.

Here is a quick description of what I am trying to do for a few computers (all the same).
Image the drive onto a few cds. If someone severely screws up their computer they can restore their system just by using those boot cds.
I'm tired of dealing with ppl screwing up their computers beyond normal repair or windows recovery, then having to reinstall everything.
This is mostly due to ppl not knowing anything about safe computer use and all the viruses out there.

I am going to look into those linux boots and see if they will restore from multiple cds. I know the work from hard drive images stored on a hard drive or from an ftp, but I'd prefer cds.

Setup a RIS server and skip the whole CD thing. Just let people reload their computers by booting off the NIC with F12 then choosing what image they want.

For a CD/Linux solution I think something using DD might be what you are after. I'm far from a Linux expert but there's some guru's here that should be able to provide some more details.
