Hard drive help (My raptors are slow i think)

So I don't think my Raptors are performing the way they should be...

Motherboard: ASUS P5W DH Deluxe WIFI

HD1: WD Raptor 8mb 74gb FLC0
HD2: WD Raptor 16mb 74gb
HD3: SATA Seagate 8mb 250gb

Using HD Tach, I get these results

8mb Raptor: 120mbs/s
16mb Raptor: 135mbs/s
250gb Seagate: 201mb/s

The 8mb was below the ATA!

What's up?

Access time is what the Raptor shines at NOT avg throughput. The Raptor probably has half the access time. Those numbers look right. The Raptor shouldn't reach the ATA through put limit after all it is an ATA drive with a SATA bridge.

I think they look ok too. I posted an almost exact issue a few days ago with graphs and I suspect yours will look about the same. My thread is here if you wanna take a look

Yep, mine are about that also. Looks like we're all on the same page. 😎
