I have drives connected to my ATA100 card and my IDE bus. The primary is the one connected to my ATA card. It is jumped as a "Master". The other drive is jumped as a "Slave" and is connected to my primary IDE bus. This is the drive that mysteriously disappear from my Windows Explorer. It'll be there at first when Windows starts, but just disappears in a few hours. The secondard IDE bus are my 2 CD-ROM drives. I am running Windows XP. Help would be much appreciated.

Are your hard drives on the same channel? from what you wrote it sounds like not.

Every channel should have a master drive.

I had the same problem, after installing Nero...

My roomate did too. We too were using XP. Could that be it?
