Hard drive difficulties

Alright after installing a new hard drive it says...

"the file 'asms' on windows xp home edition service pack 1 cd is needed.

Type the path where the file is located"

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Edit: bear in mind that the hard drive being added is a slave drive, i don't know if it needs to be formatted, or however that would be done...

Also does asms possibly stand for auto start microsoft...if not whatever...

umm we finally got the other drive to work, and when the computer booted up, this message just showed up...

This is a real CD

and...

nothing has been installed onto the drive...that i know of

God that does seem stupidly simple, i think her master cd drive wasn't working...thanks for the help!

Edit: wrong, that wasn't the problem *sigh
