my g/f just called, and said that her computer is making a funny clicking noise. She accidentally closed the cabinet her computer is in, and it got really hot. The next time she tried to boot up, the computer starting making the clicking noise, locked up, and started dumping the memory. I havent had a chance to look at it yet, but i figure she fried the hard drive.

do you think this is a good assumption? im going to try to reformat the drive, but figure it needs a new one... anyone else have an experience like this?

RMA if possible. Do the "Freezer Trick" and slave it to another machine.
Also, try posting in GH where this belongs. ;)
