Hard Drive Carrying Case

We frequently remove several HDD's from pc's ordered from Dell at my job, and then bring them back to the office to image. Rather than stack these in a box, is there any sort of carring case or container which is meant for transporting HDD's?

Google didn't turn up any obvious ones.

Thanks.
Tim

You can install a case that will make them removeable. It's like a hot swap chasis for the HD. Search for mobile rack or removable mobile rack.

Yes, I know that. But it doesn't make sense to make an HDD removeable to remove it once, bring it down to our office, image it, and then return it. The HDD will never be removed again, just this once to image them the first time. We are looking for some kind of case for multiple HDDs, not hot swappable drives.

You can get a foamed line brief case intended for photographic equipment and make avery nice carrier for several HDDs And there are many sizes and shapes of small digital camera cases that are made of heavy fabric and padded.

Also, I have several foam cases made specifically for shipping 3.5" HDDs from places like Zip-Zoom-Fly. I save these, and they can be used to carry HDDs - you can fit about 4 to 6 in a standard briefcase.

I added a picture for you. I get new HDDs frequently, so I save this type of stuff. 🙂
