I was wondering if using plain old Win 98 would give me problems with hard drives that are a certain size. I plan on buying a new hard drive and a new mobo but am still going to use Win 98. Would I have a problem if I get a 40 + gig drive? I'm looking at 60 gigs myself.. thanks in advance..

Windows 98 shouldn't have a problem with hd capacity because you can format to Fat32.

I agree...An older mobo would have been a more of a culprit then the win98 os.

If you motherboard will not natively support the large HDD, you can always use ezdrive.
