i turn on my hard drive Seagate, 120 GB, with external power, then it smell of smoke from the hard drive. i see the panal and a part in the the electric panel burn.

can some one help me to tell me what must i do to get back the file?

did you have backup? this is a lesson for you next time btw how did that happen? i dont udnerstand what your saying is the hd okay? or was it just the external enclosure.

was the drive in an enclosure? or just an adapter plugged into the drive? by panel do you mean the green pc board on the underside of the drive? its hard to understand your post.

it doesnt look good no matter what though. your files are probably gone.

i use adapter kit for IDE Drive. a chip at the green pc board on the underside of the drive. the drive can not opertaion now.

Get over it! The hdd is dead. Sooner or later you're going to lose that data anyways because you do not back up. People remember, if you do not back up don't expect your data to stay in the hdd forever. It's only a matter of time when you're going to lose it. Always back up important data you cannot afford to lose.
