Hard drive boot up problem...help!

Just out of the blue, whenever I boot up my computer, my hard drive is not detected right away and takes about 15 seconds to show up. Any ideas what might be causing this? The bios setting for detection of hard drive is set to auto. Thanks in advance!
 
I've seen this before. Make sure your HD is master if its the only drive on the IDE channel, and also if its the only drive on the channel, make sure its plugged into the master connector on the IDE cable. Also make sure not to have the "Cable Select" jumper set, that can cause tons of problems on some systems.
