No, but they are a vital part of getting a definded midsection, your six pack starts showing around 10%, less if you are otherwise out of shape...

It is common knowledge today that the negative portion of the excersise is the most effective for increasing muscle mass, you cannot flex negatively...

This system really works, it changed my cardio workouts completely (and cut the time i spend on cardio in half), i usually do it in the morning, before i eat or after training, before i eat to make sure i am burning ketones and not glycogen...
