Harbor Frieght Jack - leaking old

Please move if not in the right section. I figure more people here use jacks. I have a old harbor freight jack, aluminum, almost 12 years old, looks like the o ring pop, its leaking fluids where the pump/spring area is.. still works but leaking fluid like crazy. was wondering if there is any site that describes how to repair it.. providing i figure out what O ring i need. I did contact harbor freight, they say they'll let me know but could not find info on it.

Do not want to waste it but throwing it out.. so let me know what I should attempt.. thanks

if there's any make/model info on the jack, that's the first place I'd look, then google it for P/N's

Or maybe there's a 'standard' size O-ring? I dunno....just throwing stuff out there

check eBay or amazon as HF sells so many some sellers may list the seal kit by the jacks name/look.

See if the jack is still on HFs site. The owners manual on some will list the parts in the rear of the manual.

Yea I had this happen on my AF&F low profile jack from Summit Racing. I think I had loosened up the threaded part on the lift arm too much and it came out. Simple fix though, took about 15 minutes a little bit of jack oil. It's been fine ever since; I don't want to replace it until it's absolutely gone.

Many auto parts stores have assorted SAE and/or metric O-ring kits that I've had good luck with--used them from everything to fuel injectors, oil dip stick tubes, and basically everything else. Just match it as close as possible in size/thickness and it should be fine. Usually no need to find the exact part no if it's just a rubber O-ring.

Thanks for all the tips.. Ill try googling again, I have the manual, it list like 46a - back seal, 47a o ring, 48a washer, no actual size.. lol
