using cheap motherboards from frys combos to overclock ( and pretty successful within each iteration ), the current cheap motherboard combo in my hands is the ecs n2u400 (nforce2-400, dual channel). this board has no mult or vcore adjusts, but does fsb adjusts.

using this board i've taken a duron 1.6 -> 2.1, a 2500+->3200+, and a 2600+->~3300+.

popped in a 2400-M i just got yesterday.. shows up w/ a 6x mult!

right now having it at 6 x 210 = 1260mhz -> ~1500+? :p ( the one good thing i've gotten from this is that i know my buffalo pc3200 could run @ 210 :) )

will do experimental wiremods to get the correct mult (already, one has suggested that higher mults are locked, so going from 6x -> 13.5x requires 1 wire. but 6x -> 12x also requires one wire... here's to hoping :beer: )

I thought they are unlocked, mine was. I used a few different multipliers.
