I grew up in Minnesota.
Very much dislike those horrible cold, sunny days. They are not pleasant. Would rather have clouds and light snow or rain. Thats actually more pleasant.
 
One part of winter I don't like is lack of light. I supplement that with a SAD lamp and UVB lamp. Not sure how much it really helps but I figure it can't hurt. I take vitamin D tablets too, but good to try to get it "naturally" via UV light.

And do it begins. Again. The long arduous, minute-by-minute climb to the longest day of the Summer. Today has one more second of Sun than yesterday.
