<< oh well, V day sucks anyway >>

Well, normally I'd agree, but for each of the past 5 years, I've drunk a 12'er of Corona with red coloring just to be festive and watched an extremely violent movie. It's become a sort of tradition. This years flick is Saving Private Ryan again and while I might be a loozer, at least I'll be good and drunk.

<< Happy Val . . .

Ed, you destroyer of the earth! St. Valentine's Day is no holiday for the other inhabitants of our planet. It is a day of mass genocide for billions and billions of flowers, a day of doom.

Ask the cows or the cocoa plants about the oppression they must suffer just so someone can stuff unhealthy chocolates inside them this day.

I cracked up upon reaching the word "flowers". Satire is awesome. I wish I was good at it.

It has already started in............you guessed it. Our public school.

A note from school was sent home with my children that Valentines day would not be celebrated because it is not recognized by ALL of our students. No treats will be allowed to be brought and valentines could be given only as school is let out.

I sent treats and valentines with both my kids with directions that they be passed out at lunch. 🙂 No call yet. I have a feeling that the rank and file teachers see it my way.

So laugh. But it's not far off.
