You mean everyone as in "everyone on ATOT" I have 3 subways within a mile of where I live. And at any given time they will have at least a few people in there. During lunch/dinner they are absolutely packed. While it's not a great place, and not my 1st choice for a sandwich, there's nothing really wrong with Subway. So Cal even has a bunch of 24 hour locations. If people didn't like them and weren't eating there I doubt they'd have any 24 hour stores. I will disagree on the decent prices, the 1 sub I really like there is something like $8 out here, and it's not even that big.
