First thing that came to mind lol...

lol do people really do that in the US?
Do they also fast and stuff? Abstain from pre-marital sex?

This confirms all of my stereotypes. Also you're saying catholics do that, this makes it even more incredible. Catholic people actually became MORE religious by immigrating!

Some of you need to get out of the house more. Saw a few just from walking to lunch this afternoon. Had to be reminded is was Ash Wednesday.

With fasting, they don't actually fast, they just avoid meat on Fridays during Lent (but they still eat fish). A lot of people like to come up with something to give up during Lent, sort of like a New Year's resolution.

The pre-marital sex thing isn't something most people do. Nearly everybody has sex before marriage. What's more common is for a couple to wait until they're married to officially move in together. I have determined that this is entirely for the purpose of plausible deniability, even though it really isn't plausible at all (and on top of that, I doubt that trick works on God).

I thought Joe Biden was Jewish and was thoroughly confused by a lot of posts in this thread, especially Platypus' pointing out the NW Ohio thing. I vaguely remember having heard of this ritual before but have never witnessed it in practice, and I live somewhere that's probably at least ~15% Catholic.

Yup, dirty forehead day in the city.
Annual reminder to buy candy for easter egg hunts.
That and check last years candy to see if the shelf life allows for reuse.

I fire any employee who doesn't come to work well groomed. Dirt on your face? Find another job.
Hahhahahahahaha

Love to see how that works out for you... lawlz=100% worth dealing with the law suit.

It's worked out very well for my wife and I.

You would never ever get away with that. That may be your reason, but no way you would ever admit that. It would be against the law.
