22/7 is about 3.142857142...
Pi is about 3.1415926535...
22/7 holds up for a few decimal places. However, remember that Pi is an irrational number. That means Pi can't equal a fraction. 22/7 is basically the same as using 3.14 for Pi, but it's just in fraction form.

What is the formula for calclating pi anyway?
Might as well stick with 3.14 than use 22/7 since 22/7 gives worthless result beyond the third digit.
<< Viper... calcuatling PI to 32MB nearly crashed my computer!:Q >>
I don't remember if I've ever done 32M, maybe I'll try it when I get home. Shouldn't hurt my system too much, even if it pegs one of my processors at 100% I'll still have the other free.

I calculated the 32 million digits on my old p3 866 with 128 MB sdram. It took over an hour and the comp was useless until it finished. I just turned off the monitor and let it go.

I really should read more carefully, I was about to tell you you were full of it. Then I saw the 128 MB SDRAM, & read a little more closely. Then I realized you weren't talking about a 386, but a P3 866.
