(and to be fair China prompted most of it) ... after 59 years ... try googling female infanticide and see how many indian references come up ... and peace loving nation ... sure .. when riots flare up so often ....

Yes and the British forcing farmers to grow cotton and sell them at low prices instead of food really helped along with the defamation of cultural landmarks resulting in the loss of precious jewels. I think they are doing just fine right now without the British.
