Happy Easter!

Elledan, do yourself and all others a favor and don't reply to any posts with Easter in the thread title today, or maybe you should start your own thread if you want to have a discussion on your beliefs. Happy Easter.

I'm sorry if I offended you, but all this hypocrisy is making me sick.

The wife dragged me off to Catholic mass today and I have to say it was one of the most entertaining Sunday mornings I've had in quite a while. I swear the priest was drunk, and I would even hazard a guess that this was from the night before when he must have lost the drunken bet about who was going to give mass in the morning.

This is in Mexico and mass of course is in Spanish; this priest couldn't even speak Spanish. First he introduced himself to the congregation, then he muttered under his breath, "What a surprise I'm giving the mass today", but everyone could hear it because he was muttering into the microphone. Then he proceded to give the mass in the worst Spanish possible; just reading the worlds, slurring the ones he couldn't figure out and all the time muttering to himself in English. To top this off, during all of the psalms and songs that were sung he insisted on singing loudly in the most off-key voice I've ever heard, mixing up and mis-pronouncing words and completely screwing up anyone else trying to sing.

It was a hilarious Easter morning for me at least.

Sigh Elledan your determination to impress your belifs on others and general jerk like behavior is sickening.

You must really be sick of yourself then.

No offense taken. I am just growing tired of everytime a religious thread is started, some not-so-religious person has to post a smartass reply that has the sole purpose of starting a debate.

Which beliefs? I wasn't even aware that I had beliefs. That is, unless you mean the conclusions I draw based on empirical evidence.

I'm sorry that I've to resort to such invasive methods, but it's the only way to make people understand.

I hope everyone has a happy Easter, whether it is a religious holiday for you or a bunny brings chocolate day or just another day.

Happy Easter!

I see your point.

Yet the hypocrisy I'm talking about is the ignorance displayed with such festivities; designating certain days in a year as 'happy days' is a habit of which the purpose still eludes me.

Celebrating the life of an historical figure or event makes equally sense.

I'm giving you an Easter Vacation so others can enjoy the Holiday.

Happy Easter.

Understand that your lost?

I was afraid that this thread might turn into a religious debate, but I thought it was worthy of a post anyway.

Elledan, feel free to e-mail me if you would like my responses to some of things you've said. I'm happy to take an objective viewpoint about this holiday with you and have a reasonable discussion.

Ryan

you know, these radioactive and rabid bunnies keep trying to eat me. but i hear they're full of chocolate goodness.
