Ah yes...the winter solstice. Shortest day, longest night of the year.

Fortunately, the trend of getting dark earlier and earlier will now reverse itself...and the days (daylight period, not the actual "day") will start getting a bit longer every day.

Seems it comes faster every year. Crazy to think we're basically already half way through winter and It's Christmas in a few days. It feels like it was not that long ago that the sun was out past 5.
