I wish all my fellow Canucks a happy Canada Day. I hope everyone is safe and well.

I will spend today doing as little as possible. I have been bingeing on dank birb memes on Youtube. :)

And a shout-out to my American friends as they start their Independence Day celebrations.

:D

Happy? Ask the folks in Montreal that are not allowed to attend the Stanley Cup finals even if they are fully vaccinated . My gosh, its their national sport.

Happy Canada Day!

I'm at work on OT making the big bucks. Super crappy outside today so don't think we'd be doing much anyway.

They started early by blowing up a munitions disposal truck.

OT is for suckers. Most of that extra pay goes to taxes anyway. Get days in lieu instead.

True you lose like half of it, but it's still something. Working 3 12h days of OT so that comes up to close to a grand. If I was getting OT like all of the time, then yeah I think I would just bank the time. I still get lot of time off with my job so I don't mind the odd OT.

I don't get ginger ale at all. No ginger taste whatsoever. It's just sugar water...

try different brands?

Canada Dry uses the dry process.

Want stronger taste? Vernors, PC brand especially diet, Schweppes dark is great if you can find it.

Or I can just grate ginger, boil in water a bit, add honey, strain and serve.

Ah Canada. Vancouver is expensive and overrun with Cantonese. From my lurking on HFBoards, I've come across the term Hongcouver.

Alberta and Sasketchwan are the rougher, working class provinces. So you've got the Sasketchwan farm boys and country music during Calgary Flames game.

Ontario...Toronto gives it the reputation of Toronto being the center of the universe, even though there are other locales with flavor.

Quebec... the silent French-speaking population of North America.

Manitoba....lakes...burst pipes....and the Jets being big thugs who suck at defense....

Nova Scotia....East

Newfoundland...Fish

Yukon....Call of the Wild
