It?s a Fender DG-8. Kind of beat up on the front. Frets are pretty dirty.
It?s my first.
I stringed it last night and played chords for about an hour last night.
SO Awesome.

I haven't been this happy in ages.

Somehow the other instruments were challenging and rewarding, but this one is cool...REALLY cool.... After just a few short minutes I had a nice mello tune going that sounds wicked.

Frankly I wish it was more of a POS as I learned violin on a POS and it turned out to be the best thing I could have done, but a bunch of scuff marks and dirt/grime will have to do.

So far the sound is AMAZING. My Mirage floor-standing speakers had nothing on this sh!t.

I don't have anything but an old violin pickup + mic that requires one of the large connectors (been ages so I forgot the name). It's your standard MIC connector...about 5 large pins in a tube.

I guess I could buy a computer mic.

I made up an even better tune but am still fiddling with my gadgets so that I can record it well

Just kidding. Keep up the hard work (practicing)! It's tough being dedicated to learning guitar, trust me. There are just some times where you don't think you could really get as good as your inspirations and goals.

Maybe violins differ from guitars in that respect, you don't want to learn on a POS guitar (or at least not any more of a POS than what you've got) 😛
