Hanns-G 27.5'' 1920x1200 LCD $240

i am typing this on the hannspree version of this monitor... i had one die after 18 months... the hanspree version only had 1 year warranty, thank you amex extended warranty coverage... with a 3 year warranty this one is a great deal...

these would make a perfect 2d surround setup, i would buy but already have a surround screen setup with acer 1080p 24" 3d screens. I find I don't use 3d that much. just too lazy to swap out without the wife noticing...

Wow it is a Full HD 1080P monitor that has a recommended resolution of 1920x1200!
Is 1080p just a marketing term that means nothing anymore?

3-Year Limited (3-Year Parts/Labor, 1-Year LCD/Backlight) is the warranty as stated on Hanns-G website.

The price seems reasonable tho.

1080 is fine for watching movies, sucks for normal use compared to 1200.

Which is why I still use an old Dell 2001fp

I am using this monitor right now. Its a nice monitor.. but the omg.. the speakers.. Why bother? I like my Samsung TV/Monitor 22 inch combo.. Its a 1920x1200 LED setup.. they don't make any like this anymore.. I guess it was kind of silly to output a product that could do TV at that resolution.. But the pic quality is great and the inputs are numerous.. not to mention the speakers are actually worth it..

Would this be a great upgrade from a 24 inch Asus 1920 x 1080 monitor?

Im about to pull the trigger, need some assurance

Increase in screen size, increase in rez. I don't know how good your Asus is but the rez increase alone is really nice.

Can anyone confirm whether 20.6" is the shortest this thing will go? I need something just under 19" to fit under the hutch in my corner L-desk.

I pulled the trigger on this one the first day it was posted. It arrived the next day, using the free shipping option (Love Newegg).

So... it is amazing. It towers over my 17" and 21" WS monitors. No bad pixels, super bright, and nice, crisp resolution. As stated, the speakers aren't great, but I just plugged in my 10$ Logitech speakers into it and it sounded great. It switches between my HDMI TV connection and my DVI Computer connection with 3 button clicks on the lower controls.

I had a hanns G 19" monitor for several years, it was great for me. I ended up donating it to the office for somebody's workstation, and it's still going strong for us.

Ordered this Monday, it arrived Tuesday at my door. What a monster. HUGE difference from my 24 inch 1080P Asus. No dead pixels, adjusts fine.

Love it, thanks OP

Is the monitor height adjustable? I need to see if it's shorter than 19" at its lowest height.

Its not adjustable that way. Only can tilt the screen. This is definitely not shorter than 19 at its lowest. Maybe if you removed the stand and mounted it to the wall behind the desk
